playing some celtic classics with guitarist/singer Ric Blair for a fun night of music in downtown Franklin
Welcome to the official website of celtic/country artist & fiddle player Laura McGhee, from Dundee, Scotland. Laura's music is a hybrid of influences from her Celtic roots to country and Americana. Laura's career began to flourish after landing her first show in America with legendary folk icon Pete Seeger at the Symphony Space on Broadway NYC. In her career so far she has had the pleasure of working with many of her idols and her first USA album release "Celticana" reached the top 40 of the Americana chart, unprecedented for a Scottish artist. While living in Nashville Laura toured with John Carter Cash and John McEuen all over the USA, she also performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN with the Nashville Celts. Since moving back to Scotland Laura has released her new album "Life is Bigger than A Dream" available on iTunes.
